a bigger habitat and more snails!
i now have a 5 gallon tank, proper bedding, and stuff for the snails to properly hide in!!
here is a top down view of the new enclosure (reminder that the flash being on makes it look a bit ugly)

i havent added a water bowl just yet because im waiting on getting somthing they wont drown in, but for now, the bedding is plenty moist enough for them to get proper hydration.
i added a slanted chunk of bark for them to hide under and they really like it under there!

i got the bedding from amazon, it starts out as a dried slab until you add water, and it expands like 3x its original size.
here's a different angle through the side of the tub

in total there are 5 tiny snails!! 2 of them are quite smaller than the other 3, they usually hang out on the white pebbles. these snails are also known to like hanging upside down, so the piece of bark was a worthwile addition to the enclosure!!
ventilation has been a concern of mine, so in the lid i cut a large rectangle and put window screen mesh over it and hotglued it so they have a constant window of fresh air. since its hot outside, ive taken the time to air out the tank manually with a fan, by holding it over the open box for 15 seconds to exchange the air, before adding a sprtiz of water to replenish the humidity.
whenever i check on the snails i always take a big whiff of the tank. it smells fucking amazing. it smells like outside.
will post more updates if there are any to provide...yay!!!
